In Canada, Mori serves the wholesale trade from the Prairies to the Maritimes and from the U.S. Mid-west to the Eastern Seaboard. Still family owned and operated, the customer network includes garden centres and leading retailers as well as landscapers and commercial fruit growers.
Headquartered in Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario, Mori Nurseries was founded in 1950 by Leno Mori, who continues to serve as President. The operation began with fruit trees and soon diversified into evergreens, ornamental stock, eventually growing into grafting and rooting of cuttings. The General Manager, Bill Mori, focuses on quality control as well as streamlining production and shipping methods to ensure fast and accurate delivery of the highest quality products to their customers.
This wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of hundreds of Mori employees who plant, maintain and harvest stock on over 600 acres around Niagara, 100 acres in polyhouses and 10 acres in greenhouses. Included in the annual production is 30,000 to 50,000 grafted evergreens, 40,000 container shade trees, 40,000 potted fruit trees, 35,000 clematis vines, a million container shrubs and over 600,000 perennials.
